• Walking – Stretch your legs on the beautiful South West Way. Ardensawah Farmhouse B & B is ideally situated for walks to Lands End and Sennen, Porthgwarra and Gwennap Head, Porthchapel, Porthcurno and Treen. You can view many hidden coves that can only be seen by walking the coastal paths.

  • Rock climbing – The golden granite sea cliffs of Cornwall provide some of the best adventure climbing in Britain.

    Porthgwarra is famous for rock climbing on the classic Cornish climb ‘Chair Ladder’. There are also excellent climbs at Sennen Cove and Bosigran. If you want to go bouldering head to Pedn-Vounder, Porthcurno, Gwenver or Godrevy Point.

  • Surfing - Sennen cove boasts one of the finest surfing breaks in Cornwall with its own Surf School at the Sennen Surfing Centre. All surf instructors are BSA qualified Lifeguards, and there is surfboard, equipment hire and advice available.

    Other surfing breaks in the area include Gwenver beach and Porthmeor beach on the North Coast, Porthcurno Beach, Praa sands and Porthleven if the swell is more southerly.

  • Photography – Photographic tours around the best West Cornwall locations can be arranged through local photographer Lee Searle. Lee photographs anything from weddings to workmen, landscapes to jewelry .He does comissioned work for the National Trust and has recently launched his new book, Cornwall, Sun, Sand and Sea which has fabulous pictures.

  • Nanjizel Bay, Land’s End and Sennen Cove is the perfect walk from the farm along the coastpath,. enjoying the ruggedness of the cliffs and taking in the wonderful array of wild flowers that grow on them.
  • Cape Cornwall near the old tin mining town of St Just is the only cape in England, where two seas meet – The Atlantic and the English Channel.
  • Drive along the coast road between here at Ardensawah and St Ives for stunningly beautiful scenery of the sea and cliffs, sleepy villages and old engine houses .A great day out.
  • Marazion to Mount's Bay A long sandy beach with superb views of St Michael's Mount.
  • St Ives is made up of a small harbour and several sandy beaches, surrounding the town .This is an artists paradise and includes the famous Tate Gallery.
  • The Lizard Point is the southerly point of mainland Britain. It has been designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, almost surrounded by the sea, and stunningly beautiful at any time of the year.
